Hydrocarbon emissions testing
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revised 40 CRF Part 1065 in April 2014 to include nitrogen balance gas as an alternative option to helium with hydrogen for FID fuel in the automotive industry for hydrocarbon emission testing. Blend tolerance of the FID fuel has also been modified to 40±1% (0.39 to 0.41mol/mol) hydrogen in the revised regulations to minimize its impact on analyzer response.
Our Scott™ brand Standard FID fuel meets Part 86 requirements. Scott brand FID fuel 1065 meets Part 1065 requirements. A carbon dioxide specification can be added for Euro VI compliance.
