Air Liquide manufactures sulfur dioxide pure gas with purity up to 99.9% to be used in a variety of applications, including chemical synthesis, pesticides and disinfectants. Sulfur dioxide is also used as a component in Scott™ brand gas mixtures, in a variety of balance gases primarily used in environmental monitoring. When a smaller quantity of gas is warranted, Air Liquide delivers sulfur dioxide mixtures in Mini-Mix™ Transportables, designed specifically for industrial hygiene and safety and laboratory applications.
EPA Protocols: Air Liquide offers Scott brand sulfur dioxide two-component gas mixtures as EPA protocols. These EPA protocol gas mixtures are instrumental in helping you avoid non-compliance fines and downtime caused by inaccurate instrument calibration measuring sulfur dioxide emissions. Air Liquide’s specialty gas manufacturing facilities are registered participants of EPA’s Protocol Gas Verification Program (PGVP). Protocol standards are dual-analyzed, and for each reactive component, two separate analyses are performed and analyzed directly against metrology institute standards to determine the concentrations. Certificates of Accuracy are provided with each cylinder.
In addition, sulfur dioxide is also offered as part of multi-component EPA protocols to meet any specification.
CEM DAILY STANDARDS™: Sulfur dioxide gas mixtures manufactured as CEM DAILY STANDARDS are used in applications where the use of EPA protocol gases are not required. Zero blend tolerance is available as a result of our proprietary ACUBLEND™ technology. As a result, multiple cylinders exhibiting identical concentrations may be ordered, minimizing the need to recalibrate each time you change out a cylinder. These mixtures are available in two-component and multi-component variation.
Air Liquide packages sulfur dioxide pure gases and gas mixtures in a variety of compressed gas cylinders, including high-pressure stainless steel and aluminum cylinders, lecture bottles and nonreturnable Mini-Mix Transportables, depending on the grade of pure gas or composition of the gas mixture and your application.
Air Liquide manufactures gas handling equipment to deliver sulfur dioxide specialty pure gas and gas mixtures safely to your point of use, including gas pressure regulators, gas manifolds, purge assemblies and more.
