Oxygen is essential to many industries. For our large industry customers - refining, steel, chemicals, and others - massive volumes of industrial grade oxygen are used to improve a range of industrial processes. Bulk volumes of oxygen are used in metal fabrication applications such as smelting, cutting and welding. Oxygen increases efficiency in a number of processes by reducing the amount of fuel used and decreasing carbon dioxide emissions.
In laboratories, ALPHAGAZ™ 1 oxygen provides 99.999% purity and is used as a bleaching agent, a combustible for flame detectors, an oxidizing agent and for silicon oxidation in semiconductor manufacturing. If your analytical and laboratory applications require ultra-high-purity oxygen, ALPHAGAZ 2 99.9995% pure oxygen is ideal. Oxygen is also available as a component in many Scott™ brand gas mixtures for many applications, including industrial hygiene and safety.
EPA Protocols: Oxygen gas mixtures are manufactured as Scott brand EPA protocol gases help you avoid non-compliance fines and downtime resulting from inaccurate instrument calibration. Air Liquide’s specialty gas manufacturing facilities are registered participants of EPA’s Protocol Gas Verification Program (PGVP). Protocol standards are dual-analyzed, and for each reactive component, two separate analyses are performed and analyzed directly against metrology institute standards to determine their concentrations. Certificates of Accuracy are provided with each cylinder.
CEM DAILY STANDARDS™: Oxygen gas mixtures manufactured as CEM DAILY STANDARDS are used in applications where the use of EPA protocol gases are not required. Zero blend tolerance is available as a result of our proprietary ACUBLEND™ technology. As a result, multiple cylinders exhibiting identical concentrations may be ordered, minimizing the need to recalibrate every time you change out a cylinder.
