Air Liquide manufactures hydrogen sulfide pure gas to be used in a variety of applications, including chemical synthesis, and is available with up to 99.5% purity. Hydrogen sulfide is used as a component in various balance gases and available as a Scott™ brand gas mixture primarily used in environmental monitoring applications.
EPA Protocol Gases: Air Liquide offers Scott brand hydrogen sulfide two-component gas mixtures as EPA protocols. These EPA protocol gas mixtures are instrumental in helping to avoid non-compliance fines and downtime caused by inaccurate instrument calibration. Air Liquide’s specialty gas manufacturing facilities are registered participants of EPA’s Protocol Gas Verification Program (PGVP). Protocol standards are dual-analyzed and for each reactive component, two separate analyses are performed and analyzed directly against metrology institute standards to determine the concentrations. A Certificate of Accuracy is provided with each cylinder.
PROTOCOL ELEVEN™: These gas mixtures offer unsurpassed accuracy and confidence in hydrogen sulfide CEM calibration. Air Liquide worked closely with EPA to develop an approved method to prepare and analyze its specially assigned Scott brand PROTOCOL ELEVEN gas mixtures for hydrogen sulfide monitoring applications. They are NIST-traceable, correlate to EPA Method 11, and are intended for both Part 60 and Part 75 applications.
Multi-Component Gas Mixtures: In addition to the typically used multi-component speciated sulfur mixtures, Air Liquide can provide any Scott brand multi-component hydrogen sulfide gas mixture to meet your specification. These gas mixtures can be used to comply with EPA Method 15 or 16 (in lieu of Method 11), as well as CA Rule 1118 (for control of emissions from regulatory flares) and South Coast AQMD (SCAQMD) 307-91.
CEM DAILY STANDARDS™: Hydrogen sulfide gas mixtures are also manufactured as CEM DAILY STANDARDS and used in applications where the use of EPA protocol gases is not required. Zero blend tolerance is available as a result of our proprietary ACUBLEND™ technology, so that multiple cylinders that exhibit identical concentrations may be ordered. This minimizes the need to recalibrate each time you change out a cylinder.
